Spinal Decompression Therapy
Disc injuries, bulges and herniated discs can be relieved using spinal decompression therapy. In addition to relieving pain, spinal decompression therapy heals injured tissues and ligaments in the back and neck. Using cutting-edge technologies, we offer a multi-disciplined approach to spinal rehabilitation, using pain management methodologies, physical therapy, and chiropractic care to treat disc injuries. Our techniques heal injured discs and back or neck tissues and help them regenerate.
Spinal decompression therapy is a medical treatment used to relieve the pain from back injuries, including herniated or bulging discs. This therapy can also help heal injured tissues and ligaments in the back and neck. At Elite Integrated Medical we use the latest technologies in pain management methodologies, physical therapy, chiropractic care practices, and spinal rehabilitation techniques to treat and heal neck and back injuries.
There are three ways to treat back and neck pain caused by spinal disc injuries, including dangerous pain medications, nerve blocks (epidural injections), and spinal decompression therapy.
The FDA approved the use of spinal decompression therapy for spine and disc injury in 2001. It is been shown to be highly effective in injuries to the disc in the neck and back, herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. This is a cost-effective treatment that is non-invasive and does not carry the risks or side effects associated with prescription medicines or dangerous epidural injections.
“Went in with neck issues and sciatica pain…they explained everything in detail…very thorough and easy to understand. I knew from Day 1 what the program was and they explained all the treatments and cost up front before starting care. It’s like a
Elite Integrated Medical spinal decompression therapy stretches the neck using a traction table. This motorized device helps to relieve back and leg pain. It works by reducing the pressure placed on the disc and uses gentle suction on the tissues around the herniated or injured disc. This technique helps the disc go back into place, reduces inflammation and removes pressure on pinched nerves.
The suction that is created during decompression can improve the spaces between the vertebra, rehydrate the discs and relieve and minimize pressure on the nerves in the spinal column, which are typically the source of the patient’s pain. Rehydrating the spinal disc also helps it better absorb shock. This can help relieve the stress placed on the joints and supports surrounding tissues. Decompression therapy can slow down or stop the damage caused by osteoarthritis.
Spinal decompression is considered one of the most effective non-invasive therapies for patients experiencing neck and back pain caused by:
- bulging or herniated discs
- degenerative disc disease, including spinal stenosis
- failed back surgeries
- posterior facet syndrome
Elite Integrated Medical is the only pain clinic in the area to offer spinal decompression, chiropractic care, traditional medical therapies and spinal rehabilitation together to help relieve disc disorders, neck
